Q. What's the youngest age a child can travel alone?
A. It largely depends on who you travel with. Most Ferry operators allow children from the age of 16 and up to travel alone, as long as they have a letter of permission from their parent or guardian.
Q. Can I get hold of a VAT receipt once i've booked?
A. No. Ferry bookings are not subject to any VAT thus we can't issue a receipt.
Q. Does the driver of the vehicle count as a passenger?
A. He sure does.
Q. The price I am being quoted now is more than it was yesterday, why?
A. This is because the ferry companies use a demand driven system, so all prices are subject to change. The price that you see when you quote may only be avalible at the time you are quoting. Our advice? Book it while it's cheap!
Q. Will I recive tickets when I book?
A. No, you will not receive tickets if you make your booking through us. When your booking as been completed, you will receive a Booking Ref Number which will at the same time be confirmed by email. We strongly recommend that you print a copy of your email booking confirmation and present a copy of it, together with photo ID, at your ferry check-in point, and you will be given your travel documents.
Q. Does this site support most common browsers?
A. Yes this site is completely browser friendly. Should you have a problem booking or getting things show up then email us at info@oceanferries.com.
Q. I have a complaint, where can I file it?
A. If you have any complaints or problems with your crossing then you need to get in touch with the ferry operator you booked through! We are not responsible for anything that happens during your voyage as that is the job of your operator!
Q. Will I get my money back if I have a cancellation?
A. Again, you must check with your operator. Most operators do have a cancellation policy but you must check for yourself!
Q. Can you provide a baby cot for my cabin?
A. It depends on who you travel with, most operators provide a cot service, however you must arrange it before hand.
Q. My question wasn't answered here, now what?
A. Simply fill out the contact us form, or email us direct at info@oceanferries.com
